Icarus Taverna is a high-end Greek-Canadian restaurant in Kingston, Ontario. The restaurant serves traditional Greek dishes as well as Canadian favourites which creates a unique dining experience. Icarus Taverna is the perfect location for celebrating a special occasion, an anniversary, or a milestone event.
This project involved designing a logo and brand identity for Icarus Taverna. The logo features a Greek tile symbol, emphasizing the restaurant’s historical accuracy and upscale ambiance. The menu design uses a tall, slim format with blue leather binding, creating an elegant feel. Elements of the logo were used to make patterns and add details throughout all of the mockups to create a stronger sense of brand cohesion. The serif font, Perpetua, used for "Icarus," brings sophistication, while the sans-serif Bicyclette adds a modern touch to "Taverna." The color palette, inspired by the Greek flag and the ocean, complements the restaurant’s seafood offerings and evokes a sense of coastal luxury.
